In 1996, Utopia started building PCs in Kilmarnock.
Thirty years later, we're transforming a former pub into a new kind of technology centre, part workshop, part experience, part creator space and part classroom for the next generation.
We're inviting a small number of technology partners to build it with us.
This isn't a new computer shop.
We're creating a living technology environment.
Somewhere customers can experience products, creators can make things, businesses can discover new technology, young people can learn and our team can continue building some fairly outrageous computers.

From plan to possibility.
The building is real. The plans are real. The possibilities are still being imagined.
Our Innovation Centre is being developed using professional architectural plans and a very real building that's already under construction.
To help people picture where we're going, we've also used generative AI to explore how some of those spaces might eventually feel.
These aren't architectural promises or final specifications. They're visualisations of the ambition behind the project.

We've been documenting every step.
This isn't a concept created for a partnership page. Since taking on the old Bellfield Inn, we've been documenting the journey publicly, from ripping things out and discovering what was underneath, to planning the new centre and beginning the rebuild.

A quieter corner of the Innovation Centre where Utopia’s past, present and future come together. The Nook will celebrate the history of the building and the personalities that have shaped Utopia, while creating a warm, informal space for live music, conversation and connection. It’s also where some of the most important conversations will happen, with customers, partners and friends of Utopia. Away from the bustle of the main space, it’s somewhere to sit down, share ideas and make plans for what comes next.
