The thinking behind it
Why Christmas came early this year
The PC market has been an unusual one this year. Component pricing has moved around more than anybody would like, and manufacturers are balancing demand from AI infrastructure against the traditional PC hardware the rest of us buy.
Nobody genuinely knows exactly where PC pricing will sit by December, and we are not going to pretend that we do.
So rather than speculate, we have done something simple. We have secured ten gaming systems now, at a price we are happy with, and put them aside for our local Christmas customers.
Whatever the market does between now and December, these ten are already sitting in Kilmarnock, and this is already what they cost.
Ten PCs. One known price. No crystal ball required.
One specification, ten times over
Meet the Christmas PC
All ten are identical, and all ten are built around the same idea: put the money where it shows up on screen, and don't pay for anything that doesn't.
Processor
AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Six cores, twelve threads. More than enough for the games this PC is built for.
Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB
The part that does the heavy lifting, and where most of the money went.
Memory
16GB DDR4
Game, Discord, a browser full of tabs and Spotify, all at once.
Storage
1TB NVMe SSD
Room for a proper library, and no waiting around for it to load.
Cooling
RGB air cooling
Three front fans and one at the rear in a high airflow chassis. Cool, and quietly showing off.
Case
Antec panoramic tempered glass
Glass across the front and side, so the inside is part of the point.
Network
Built in WiFi
No cable trailing across the landing. Plug it in and it finds the house.
Built for great 1080p gaming
This is a Full HD gaming PC, and a strong one. The graphics card is where most of the budget went, because that is the part you actually see when the game starts.
We have not chased the newest platform for the sake of it. This is a sensible, deliberate combination of parts that plays the games people are actually playing, and leaves money in your pocket for a decent monitor and a headset.
Games it is built for
- Fortnite
- Minecraft
- Call of Duty
- Apex Legends
- GTA
Why buy it from us
It might start with the hardware. It finishes at Utopia.
Anybody can put a PC in a box. What you are actually buying is the workshop behind it, and the people who answer the phone in January.
Prepared properly, then tested
Every machine is checked over, updated and tested by our workshop before anybody takes it home. It is not pulled off a pallet and handed across the counter.
A team you can stand in front of
We are on the ground in Kilmarnock. If something is not right, you know exactly where we are and who you are speaking to.
Straight upgrade advice
Ask what is worth adding in a year and you will get an honest answer, including when the answer is nothing yet.
The rest of the setup
Monitors, headsets, keyboards, chairs and desks. We will help match them to this PC rather than point at the most expensive one on the shelf.
Help after Christmas, not just before it
Getting it on the WiFi, moving an account across, working out why a game will not start. That is a phone call, not a support ticket.
- 2 Year Parts Warranty
- 10 Year Labour Warranty
- Lifetime Technical Support
Ten, and then that is that
There really are only ten.
10 of 10 still available
These are not an unlimited Christmas promotion. We secured one small batch of ten systems for local customers, at a price we were happy with.
Once those ten have been reserved, this particular offer is finished. First come, first served, and no queue jumping.
Reserved for local customers
A proper PC, from a proper local PC shop.
These ten systems are held for local Utopia customers. Come in, see the PC in the flesh, talk to the team and make sure it is the right one for whoever will be opening it on Christmas morning.
You will get a straight answer to the awkward questions too, including the one nobody likes asking a shop: is this actually the right PC for what they play?
- Will it play what they play? Tell us the games and we will tell you honestly how this PC handles them.
- What else do they need? Monitor, headset, keyboard, mouse, chair. We will help you put a sensible package together rather than the biggest one.
- Will it work on our WiFi? WiFi is built in, so there is no cable to run. Bring us your setup and we will sanity check it.
- What about Christmas morning? We will tell you exactly what to do on the day so it is up and running before the turkey is in.
- Can it be upgraded later? Yes, and we will tell you what is worth doing first when the time comes.
Christmas, sorted
One less thing to think about in December.
Secure Christmas's gaming PC now, then get back to pretending you are definitely going to start your Christmas shopping earlier this year.
